We just hit it big in the lottery. We have won a total of $700,000 after taxes. This is great and we can now use this tool to determine how long this money can last for us. For current savings, we can enter 700,000 as this is the money we are working with. For average annual return rate, we can enter 2.3% as we are going to be putting it into a HYSA from our bank. We are planning to withdraw $3,000 a month and we will be increasing the amount withdrawn each year by 1% so we will enter 1 into the final field. We can now hit calculate and get a total of 23 years that this money will last us. In total, we would have withdrawn a total of $925,786.
