Our little brother just came home from school and we want to quiz him on his day and what he learned. We gave him a 22 question test where he got 16 of them correct. We can use this tool to find out how well he did. First, we will enter 22 into the total questions field and 16 into the correctly answered field. Then, we can hit calculate and get our results. We find that our brother got a C-, or a 72.73% on our test for him.
There is no single scale that is used to determine what each percent score is equal to as a letter grade. To some institutions, a 90 is an A, to others it can be an A-, and others may view it as an A+ even.
In most scenarios, a C is not a failing grade. However, in some universities or colleges, getting under a C grade in a class may lead to denial of credits or other consequences that may be equivalent to failing.
A 75 out of 100 is equal to a C grade, it can be seen as good as it is considered passing in most institutions.
A 55 out of 65 is equal to an 85% grade, or a B letter grade.
